Confirmed Coronavirus Cases Jump 50% In Monaco In 24 Hours

Monaco health authorities have announced six new positive coronavirus cases on Saturday, March 21.

This brings the number of people affected by Covid-19 to 18 in the Principality, including one who has now recovered.

No further details were provided. The government urges residents to "respect" home confinement rules but has yet to impose further restrictions.

Meanwhile the entire Alpes-Maritimes department is now under curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Italy confirmed a record 793 deaths over the past 24 hours with 6,557 new cases, while France saw an increase of 1,847 cases with 112 deaths over the same period.
