Prince’s Charity Football Match Picks Forbes Monaco 30U30 Designer As Official Supplier

AS Star Team for The Children MC was cofounded in 1993 by Prince Albert and Italian racecar driver Mauro Serra. The association’s charity World Stars Football Match takes place annually on the Tuesday before the Monaco Grand Prix, pitting the All Stars Formula 1 Drivers Team against the AS Star Team for The Children MC to raise funds for Monegasque charities that help underprivileged children around the globe.

“This edition is very important because we celebrate 30 years of our association and will play this unique game for the 29th time, which since the very start has allowed us to gather funds thanks to the support of more than 280 of our champions and association members, partners and, naturally, the public,” said Serra.

With 3,000 cheering fans, including Prince Albert and 7-year-old Hereditary Prince Jacques (his twin sister Gabriella accompanied Princess Charlene to Monaco Fashion Week), this year’s 90-minute match at Stade Louis II on May 24 resulted in a 3-3 tie.

Drivers team captain Fernando Alonso played alongside hometown favorite and the first Monegasque F1 Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly and Giancarlo Fisichella and Stefano Domenicali, who took over as President and CEO at Formula 1 in January 2021.

Under squad captain Prince Albert, the All Stars Formula 1 Drivers Team included Daniil Kvyat, influencer LeBouseuh, and former AS Monaco legends Jérôme Rothen, Sonny Anderson and Marco Simone. Italian world champion and football legend Francesco Totti brought in a new team sponsor DigitalBits to support the event.

The eco-responsible Inessa Creations was an official supplier of the AS Star Team. The made in Monaco label was founded in 2019 by Forbes Monaco 30 Under 30 designer Ines Bensalah.
