Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) announced this afternoon via a press release that Hermitage Monte-Carlo Hotel will be closed from Monday, March 23 until April 30 tentatively.
"An extremely limited number of guests" will be moved to the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo at no additional cost.
“In this unprecedented situation in its 150-year history, our top priority is the safety of our clients and our employees,” said Jean-Luc Biamonti, deputy president of the SBM Group. “These new measures are being taken in order to ensure continuity of service for our customers and the Principality of Monaco.”
The Méridien Beach Plaza has just closed, with guests moved to the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, while Monte-Carlo Beach will reopen for the season at a date to be determined.
All Group casinos, restaurants and bars, in and out of hotels, as well as wellness centers and Sporting Monte-Carlo, also remain closed until further notice.
