From Monday, August 23, the health pass will be extended to Monegasques, residents and employees of Monaco, from the age of 18, who want to access restaurants and bars in the Principality although it will not be required for outdoor terraces.

The government also announced that Monegasques, residents or students of schools in the Principality aged 16 and 17 will not be required to present a health pass to access restaurants and bars until September 23.

A health pass shows that a person has been fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid for between 2 weeks to 6 months or has a negative PCR or antigen test of less than 72 hours

In a press release, the government reminds residents that “vaccination is the most effective way to protect yourself and to protect others. It is strongly recommended that everyone gets vaccinated. Vaccination makes it possible, in particular, to limit the spread of the virus and its most serious effects. It is free and accessible for Monegasques and residents over 12, as well as for all employees of the Principality.”
