Family Tests Positive For Covid In Monaco

Three members of a family living in Monaco have tested positive for coronavirus. According to the government on Thursday, July 2, this includes a sixth grade student from Charles III who was infected after a family member returned from a trip outside of Europe. Another member of  the household also tested positive.

Five teachers and 11 classmates of the student will be contacted and tested, although the health authorities say that the “risk of contamination is low” due to students and teachers wearing masks and respecting social distancing.

The family is now in quarantine and being followed, along with three other patients, by the Home Patient Monitoring Center.

To date, there have been 106 cases of coronavirus in Monaco, although not all have been residents.
