Badr El Jundi sets the international stage for contemporary art and cultural tourism with Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Resort in Marbella.
Driven by his passion for art, Badr El Jundi opened his eponymous gallery inside the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace creating a unique project. In addition to the conventional space, he is developing a new concept of presenting artworks in different rooms and ambiences, both indoors and outdoors, that enables art lovers and collectors to appreciate artworks from different perspectives.
Located in Spain, it’s one of the few galleries in the world whereby clients and visitors can view the artists’ sculptures in the property’s gardens and the artworks in various rooms and halls.
“Our clientele, both international and from across the country, is attracted to the exotic Marbella resort and we have worked diligently to provide the many collectors who stay with us unique services that guarantee an unforgettable experience,” says El Jundi.
This ambitious collaborative project between Badr El Jundi Gallery and the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace hotel is focused in a strategic location with the aim of growing and evolving into an exclusive and innovative business, adapted to the clients needs and shaped for filling an empty spot within the market.
Clients can book their accommodation through the gallery to enjoy their stay at the resort experiencing a different range of facilities other than contemporary art. Anantara Villa Padierna Palace—a member of Leading Hotels of the World and included in the 2019 Gold List of Condé Nast Traveler Spain New Hotels—is now known as one of the most recognized brands, not just within Spain but also from abroad, and is directly associated with luxury lifestyle and exclusivity. First Lady Michele Obama and her family stayed at Anantara Villa Padierna Palace in 2010, the same year it was ranked by Expedia as the Best Hotel in Spain and 28th worldwide.
With a compound of three golf courses, this is a hot spot for golf lovers, but there is something for everyone here— walking and relaxing, a 2,000-square-meter spa, a tennis club, exquisite hotel restaurants and the beach club. There’s even a Roman amphitheater on the grounds.
The gallery, about a 10-minute drive from Puerto Banus, is an ideal spot for all collectors to enjoy contemporary art, have a leisurely stay to unwind and enjoy nature in an idyllic and peaceful environment. Guests will find international and national artworks in two gallery spaces, an exhibition hall and vast gardens. At any one time, these spaces (open 24/7) might showcase various artists, or be devoted entirely to a solo exhibit. The gallery is open daily and free to visit.
El Jundi is meticulous in selecting superb emerging and established international artists to bring to Costa del Sol with the intention of showing challenging art without compromise, which from time-to-time may end up in collaborative endeavors with internationally recognized galleries.
The incredible scale of this exclusive project will certainly put Marbella on an international stage both for contemporary art and cultural tourism.
